Founder and Director, Daphne Thissen, is a leader in the industry. As a well-known business and stakeholder engagement professional, Daphne has a wealth of experience and insight in leading client feedback, building relationships and networking across the construction, engineering, management, architecture and property industries.

Daphne’s work helps businesses improve their relationships with current and prospective clients, strengthening the success of organisations and helping her clients to reach their full potential. 

Originally from the Netherlands and with a background in architecture, Daphne was educated as an architectural historian, a qualification that first brought her to the UK to work for English Heritage. Daphne then moved on to become Development Director at The Employment Policy Institute, followed by her role as Deputy Head in the press, public diplomacy and culture department at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It was here that she was responsible for researching, reporting, and advising on public and cultural diplomacy as well as bilateral public policies for cultural collaborations. 

Thissen Consulting was originally established in 2008 with a key focus on architecture. The business’ growth and success in recent years has meant the focus is also towards other sectors, including construction and property, that need a professional shift towards establishing relationships to retain and secure clients and help drive business development.
